Welcome again!

Welcome to my new website. I have begun the process of sharing my research and experiences in the SCA. I expect that it will take some time to get everything up and working. I needed to start with a small section (children, their clothes and toys) to learn the program and not get too overwhelmed. Please go easy on me I have a scenic design and arts background and not a computer background.

A little bit about me: I started playing in the SCA when I was in college in the March of the Unicorn, Barony of Flaming Gryphon, Kingdom of the Middle. I love the people in the SCA, as they have always been welcoming and helpful in all five of the Kingdom’s I have lived in. I have lived in several groups for four years, before school or a job transferred me to a new location. Fourteen years ago I moved to the Kingdom of Atlantia, in the Barony of Tir-y-Don to get married. To summarize things I have been playing in the SCA for over 25 happy years.

I am an Anglo-Saxon woman married to an Elizabethan gentleman, who has a Tudor and a 1350’s boy. I guess you could say our household time travels. I envy the household of people who only have a single narrow time frame. I enjoy the challenge of finding research in the Anglo-Saxon eras. So much is unknown and open for interpretation. On the flip side of that coin is the Tudor research I have been doing. I can read period manuals or look at multiple good quality museum finds on any subject. It is so easy!

I like to sew. I like to use nice quality materials, so they will stand the test of time. I sew for the people in my family (a total of four) and an other family (a total of three. They have a young girl the same age as my oldest son. I get to make little girl dresses.) I also like to work in my wood shop. I am a firm believer in power tools, they allow me to keep up with the ever changing needs of my family. In my spare time I read, garden, quilt and cook.

Ok a year has passed since I started this website. Not much was done once I could get outside and enjoy my garden. I expect that will happen this year as well. However I have added a lot more pages and started  to collect and publish more recent projects. I do not get along any better with this program than I did a year ago, so the artistic or design elements of the pages are somewhat lacking but the information is there. Be sure to look at PDF links. Please let me know if something is missing or needs a bit more work on it. I will try and fix it.

I have mostly completed the process of converting my old site over to this WordPress site and thus have changed around where the domain names point. If you are following a link to something on the old site, it is probably now broken.
